Kiln Operator - Night Shift

About the Role:
As a kiln operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring timber is dried to the highest quality standards. Working across our CDK and TM kilns, you will monitor drying cycles, adjust schedules, manage moisture checks, support boiler operations, and ensure timber is handled safely and efficiently.

What we're looking for:​

• Previous manufacturing, timber, or machine-operation experience

• Current forklift license and experience

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and identity issues early

• Comfortable working independently during night shift

• Physically capable and reliable

• A willingness to learn—full training provided

Key Responsibilities
Kiln Operations

• Monitor timber drying processes to meet moisture targets.​

• Load and unload kilns following correct PKT rotation sequences.

• Change and adjust kiln schedules using kiln computer systems.

• Follow inspection checklists and respond to kiln alarms

• Handle timber with care to minimize damage.

Boiler Operations

• Monitor boiler operations, water levels, temperatures, and fuel levels via system controls

• Ensure correct fuel mix and operate the loader for fuel management

• Respond to boiler alarms and complete inspection checks
